The NHS the biggest vulnerability of Sunak’s Tories – Ipsos polling – politicalbetting.com

Will this be the battleground of electoral politics?

A few days ago Labor leader Keir Starmer set out what he described as Labour’s 5 missions as the first part of the build-up to the general election.

Of course the Labor leader is starting to go into more detail and the polls I think show where they are strong and where the Tories are most vulnerable.

In terms of the party that will do a good job, Labor leads the Conservatives on every mission, with the largest lead on building an NHS fit for the future (41% to 19%) and the smallest lead on securing Britain at the top. sustained economic growth in the G7 (29% to 25%).

Here is an observation by former PBer Keiran Pedley and now Political Director at Ipsos:

It is great that the British people seem to prioritize improving the NHS from Keir Starmer’s 5 key promises. It is also the public mission that Labor thinks will do the best job of the Conservatives. The findings show the depth of the political challenges facing the Conservatives in this area.

The picture is less clear in other areas. It is widely divided over whether Labor can deliver safe roads or global leadership in clean energy provision, while Labor still has work to do to show it is better than the Conservatives at delivering economic growth.
