The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Moroccan Jalal Jayed as the referee for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Group A match between seven-time champions Nigeria and Senegal.

In the match scheduled at Cairo International Stadium, Jayed will be assisted by Tunisian Mohamed Bakir (assistant referee 1), Algerian Hamza Bouzit (assistant referee 2) and Clement Kpan from Ivory Coast.
The match will kick off at 7pm Egyptian time (6pm Nigerian time), three hours after the tournament opener between hosts Egypt and Mozambique at the same venue.
While Tunisia’s Hussein Jenayah will be the match commissioner, Burundi’s Jean Birumushahu will be the referee assessor and Morocco’s Imade El Fahouss will be the general coordinator.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Nigerian team, the Flying Eagles, meanwhile had their first official training session in Cairo on Friday.
According to Ademola Olajire, the Director of Communications of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the training took place at the Jewel Hotel training ground.

Nigeria, two-time FIFA World Cup silver medalists and two-time bronze medalists, will be looking for their eighth continental title at the final in Egypt.
They face host nations Egypt and Mozambique in other games in Group A.
Only the top four ranked teams in the 12-nation tournament will be able to represent Africa at this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup finals in Indonesia from May 20 to June 11.
