The Class of 2022 is simply inspiring!

According to this year’s Independent Examination Board (IEB) results, the Crawford International Matric Class of 2022 has outdone itself. This exceptional group of students has faced and overcome all the challenges of the post-Covid world to achieve results that embody the spirit of Crawford International school’s academic excellence and innovative, future-focused and global education.

We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve done.

Matric results were released on Wednesday 18 January, and each of these Crawfordians has reason to be proud of themselves – we know us.

In six South African Colleges and among 553 students, the 2022 Matric has achieved an impressive 1 430 distinction. That’s great 2.6 differences per Matriculant!

Despite navigating high school during and after a major pandemic, and experiencing the fallout from it, she has proven to be a person of resilience, determination and strength.

A closer look at the results of each campus shows that these are the Matric classes set to inspire those who follow in their footsteps:

• Crawford International La Lucia 100 Grade 12 gets:
  • A total of 302 distinctions, with five students achieving an average of more than 90%, and 35 students achieving an average between 80% and 89%.
• At Crawford International Lonehill, 100 Matric students achieved:
  • A total of 246 distinctions, with three students achieving an average of more than 90%, and 23 students achieving an average between 80% and 89%.
• Crawford International North Coast has 84 students in the Matric class, among whom they achieved:
  • A total of 196 distinctions, with one Matriculation achieving an average of over 90%, and 12 averaging between 80% and 89%.
• 101 Crawford International Sandton Matriculation achieves:
  • A total of 352 distinctions, with six students achieving an average of more than 90%, and 35 students achieving an average between 80% and 89%.
• At Crawford International Pretoria, 99 grade 12 students achieved:
  • A total of 202 distinctions, with one student achieving an average of more than 90%, and more than 18 averages between 80% and 89%.
• Crawford International Ruimsig has 69 students in the Matric class, among whom they achieved:
  • A total of 132 distinctions, with 11 Matriculation averages between 80% and 89%.

We have no doubt that the four pillars that underpin our academic approach – local and global relevance, future-focused skills, student agency, and a personalized learning journey – have empowered these young adults with the knowledge, skills and passion they need to just have it. achieved this very good result in the final, but to succeed beyond what they thought possible.
