Frank Slevin, Head of Commercial Rugby League, is a special guest on this week’s episode to talk about how the sport is preparing for the men’s, women’s and wheelchair Super League seasons.
Slevin discusses why the sport has done well and how they continue to grow the Super League across the UK and beyond, plus looks at how rugby league can be promoted better to reach new audiences.
Wakefield’s new head coach Mark Applegarth joins Jenna and Jon to talk about how he’s preparing for the new season, and explains how he feels his team are considered favorites to be relegated.

“Who comes into the future thinking that my only purpose is to live?” Applegarth said. “You can add up all the odds against you. You can blame the salary cap, you can blame the playing squad or you can blame whatever you like – that’s the reason at the end of the day.
“Everyone wants to be in the big games, whether it’s the Challenge Cup final, the Super League final, the Playoffs and so on. It’s a completely different scale!
