Among other issues, how to reduce the food shortage and electricity crisis in the country will be discussed
The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) will host its first Inter-Campus Hybrid Research Conference on March 1 and 2, 2023. The conference, with the theme “The heat is on: the weird and the amazing research in the ARC” will see scientists and ARC researchers. converge under one roof to share knowledge with peers, to encourage collaboration and bring new ideas that can take ARC to the next level.
The conference will also serve as a platform to share research and development findings that can help the country to overcome some of the challenges in the agricultural sector. Retired researchers are also invited to speak on various topics related to the agenda and program of the conference, such as the climate-smart agriculture program.
In addition, ARC CEO and President Dr Litha Magingxa will use the opportunity to share with members of the media the current research that ARC is doing to reduce food shortages and the electricity crisis in the country. “Through engagement forums like the Inter-Campus Hybrid Research Conference, we can share the scientific knowledge generated through research with the farming community and stakeholders in the agricultural sector,” said Dr Magingxa.
