It is probably impossible to rank Donald Trump scandal. We’ll be here all day! But this is certainly one of the biggest from a rule of law perspective. It’s just, you know, a little late to the game. But you know what? We know now!
Okay, let’s back up. Remember the Mueller Probe? prosecutor Robert Mueller tapped as special counsel to investigate possible collusion between agents of the Russian government and Donald Trump. This is an important mission because we don’t want people in office when they have foreign interests. What Russia wants and what America needs are different prospects – especially with crooked killers Vladimir Putin who is responsible there.
But what did Mueller find? Well, this is a big area of controversy…
The Mueller Report
If you remember, Trump said TOTAL EXONERATION. It was after the Attorney General who was chosen by himself Bill Barr released a summary letter of the Mueller Report to the public. That summary essentially made Mueller find no crime.
But the truth is that Mueller found many crimes. They filed criminal charges against 34 individuals and 3 companies, most of them Russian agents. The report makes it clear that Russia did indeed act to put a thumb on Trump — but collusion on Trump’s part cannot be proven. However, the report also said collusion could not be proven because of all the obstacles to justice. In the end, six Trump campaign partners — George Papadopoulos, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Michael Flynn, Michael Cohenand Roger Stone – were charged with the crime of lying to Congress for witness tampering. Not exactly what Barr led America to believe.

Did Trump commit obstruction of justice? Basically Mueller said he couldn’t indict him because he wasn’t allowed to indict. The team was sent to Congress for impeachment. But Congress won’t impeach him because Mueller didn’t flat-out indict him. It’s a stupid mess. And Trump used the chaos to declare victory, calling it all a hoax.
The True Witch Hunter
It is not enough for Trump to simply tell everyone that he is the victim of a deep state conspiracy. He wanted to write. He wants charges filed. So he asked Bill Barr to destroy the first probe. Barr was sent apart the investigator investigates the first investigation. We know, this sounds incredibly stupid, we can’t help it, this is our government now.
Barr tapped the prosecutor John Durham to find impropriety in the Trump-Russia probe. Their job is supposed to be to make sure that the law is followed. But in fact, according to the new New York Times exposé, Barr and Durham are at work together to try to dig up whatever dirt he could. Remember, the whole point of a special counsel is that he should be independent – to make sure he’s not politically motivated, it’s all about justice. So Barr and Durham drink Scotch together in the back room while trying to prove the conspiracy that no one has offsides. But it gets worse. Worse.
Apparently Barr was already suspicious of the Mueller investigation before he became AG. So they start with the conclusion that this is a deep state conspiracy and then go to great lengths to prove it – instead of going where the truth is. And holy crap, where’s the truth…
Italy
OK, so remember Barr believes the whole thing about Trump getting help from Russia is a lie. So because some intelligence agencies have confirmed it, they are suspicious NSAat CIA, and British intelligence were all liars. He and Durham even flew together to England and Italy to try to convince them to publicly backtrack on all intelligence findings.
The problem is, they have no reason to do so. Their opinions were solid. British intelligence were really PISSED that they had been accused of lying. (The American version of irritated, meaning ANGRY – not drunk.) But Italy offered the investigation some help. They have information about the current President – “a potentially explosive tip that links Mr. Trump to suspected financial crimes.”
yes. You read that right. Italy has some evidence that TRUMP has committed other crimes. An investigation intended to expose Mueller inadvertently ran into more Trump allegations. I mean, there’s just so much…

Apparently that’s a good tip, too. According to multiple, Barr and Durham “decided that the tip was too serious and credible to be taken seriously.” So what did he do? Well, in addition to being independent, the special counsel must also focus. Only one investigation, in this case looking for the Mueller probe. But we guess Barr can’t risk more people finding out about ANOTHER Trump scandal while she bends over backwards trying to protect that person…because she also gave that investigation to Durham! What happened to the investigation? We can’t say it’s been swept under the rug, but it is what it is multiple wrote after thorough investigation:
“Mr. Durham never filed charges, and it remains unclear what the extent of the investigation was, what steps were taken, what was learned and whether anyone in the White House knew about it.
At NOW the team never knew what financial crime was! So if Durham already told to make it disappear, he did a good job.
Lying To America
OK, let’s go back to what Barr said in the BS letter about the Mueller report. Remember how he totally misled America? Heck, he didn’t even include a single full sentence from Mueller’s own report in his summary. Like when a critic calls a movie “an incredible waste of time” and just puts a poster “… Incredible”!
Well, the subterfuge continues here. See, the news is out that Durham has been given extra powers for criminal prosecution. Various sources know he is investigating criminal activity. But remember, the special counsel is only supposed to investigate ONE CASE. And since everyone knows they are investigating the Mueller probe, the news is a huge gift for Trump and his supporters. The conspiracy theorists have been vindicated; now they know that the Trump-Russia investigation is a hoax, and that people are going to jail for …
Except it’s not a hoax. The criminal investigation, again, goes to Trump. Even when they try to protect him, he can’t stop the crime.
Barr, of course, did nothing to refute any of these public allegations. He just kept quiet. And it’s not like that, shut up and carry a big stick. No, he said when he could misbehave with Americans. In December 2019, the inspector general completed his own investigation into the Trump-Russia investigation. This confirmed the probe at the level, and it has started – as previously reported – after the tip of the Australian diplomat that the adviser to Trump George Papadopoulos knew in advance that the Russians would release some hacked Democratic emails (which shows that they knew about this plan and a favorable release date ). Just minutes before the report, Barr exercise published a statement … like the Mueller report, he got there first and stated the opposite of the truth. He said the FBI began its investigation “on the thinnest of suspicions which, in my opinion, are not sufficient.” So yes, he talks when he wants to. But what if someone is wrong about the Trump-Russia case? Yes, he immediately fell silent.
The simple conclusion is that Barr wants Americans to believe, as they do, regardless of the evidence, that Trump is innocent and that the entire Trump-Russia investigation is a hoax. In fact, the multiple also said that before the 2020 election, he is trying to get Durham to go public Hillary Clinton it will be a problem for the Trump-Russia “hoax”. JFC.
Unfortunately, it usually works. Few people have time to read the Mueller Report, or the IG report, let alone the more complex ones. New York Times one. But do you know what aunts and uncles have time to do? Listen Fox News expert. And read Trump’s tweets (or Truths we guess). They heard TOTAL EXONERATION, they heard TRUMP-RUSSIA HOAX, they heard HILLARY CLINTON, and they heard nothing else. They heard lies.
It’s like that Mark Twain said:
“A lie can travel halfway around the world, while the truth is still in its shoes.”
Only Mark Twain never said that. But it takes a lot longer to explain how that quote can be misunderstood than Twain said. And that’s the whole point. Hold back.
