Texas Woman Strangled Childhood BFF To Death – And Stole Her Newborn Baby To Claim As Her Own!

A Texas woman has pleaded guilty to a horrific crime: strangling her best friend to death and kidnapping her newborn daughter.

About 3 years ago, in December 2019, Heidi Broussard (pictured above, inset) disappeared from his home in Austin. His mother had just given birth to a daughter Margot and also has a 6-year-old son, reported missing from his apartment by his fiancé Shane Carey. After discovering that her partner is gone, she is also shocked to learn that her newborn, Margot is nowhere to be found.

A very intense and highly publicized search took place with the police of the whole country, finally led to the home of Magen Fieramusca (above, left) near Houston. It wasn’t long before the police found Heidi’s body, put in a backpack and in the trunk of a car they thought was the best, just sitting parked on the street. An autopsy was performed on the mother, it was found that she had been strangled to death with a dog leash. Bad enough… Luckily, the newborn was found unharmed – Magen just stole the baby.

Fieramusca was arrested and charged with capital murder and mutilation of a corpse. He was also originally accused of kidnapping a 3-week-old baby, claiming Margot as his own.

It almost seems like this may have been planned for some time. According to what family friends Vickie Shreves toward people at the time, the 37-year-old even pretended to be pregnant at the same time as Heidi, finally showing up for the birth of Margot but leaving before leaving. Vickie notes he looks “somber”.

According to court docs this goes back decades. The two women met at a church camp when they were only 11 years old and talked about the two being pregnant for some time – even planning on potentially giving birth on the same day. Shane told the prosecutor his wife had told him Magen gave birth to a baby girl, although he had never seen a photo of the child, and no one had ever heard the specifics of the delivery. apparently all the time he had planned to kill his best friend’s baby as his own!

Her ex-boyfriend is a resident of Harris County Christopher Green told how one day after Heidi’s kidnapping, her boyfriend told her “don’t be mad” and when she asked why, he said she went to the birthing center and gave birth to Margot. One day when he was out buying formula for what he believed to be his girlfriend’s child, the police stopped him and showed him a flier from the missing 3-week-old, which said:

“This is the baby in my house.”

So cool! Can you imagine??

On Thursday, Fieramusca waived his right to appeal and pleaded guilty, earning a 55-year prison sentence for killing his best friend and kidnapping his child. Charged with capital murder, he originally faced life without parole, but because of his plea he will have the possibility of parole halfway through his sentence. He will also receive credit for the three years he served in prison prior to sentencing.

District Attorney Travis County Jose Garza said in a statement on Friday:

“We hope this result will bring some closure to the Broussard and Carey families and help them continue their healing process. This result will save the family from having to go through the difficult court process after being convicted.

According to several outlets, when listening to the victim’s mother Tammy Broussard speak directly to Fieramusca, saying:

“We miss him so much. He stands strong in the midst of everyone. He was just having fun and being full of life and now it’s taken.

So sad…
