Growth spurt! Teenage Mother 3 it may only last one season in 2013, but it’s a spinoff star Briana DeJesus, Mackenzie McKee, Alex Sekel and Katie Yeager — and their children! – make a lasting impression on viewers.
While DeJesus and McKee went on to star in other iterations of the franchise (the Florida native joined Teenage Mother 2 in 2017 when he founded Body by Mac Teenage Mother AND traveling two years later), Sekella and Yeager chose to live out of the limelight.
“I like privacy,” said Yeager, who shares daughter Molli with her ex Joey Mayes and another daughter, nicknamed “Baby Thayn,” with now-ex-boyfriend Tyler, told E! News in 2017. “After the event ended, it was bittersweet, but I was relieved to be able to return to a somewhat normal life.”
After the MTV cameras stopped rolling, “I’m in school. I’m moving.” [from Wyoming] to Utah,” added Yeager. “I work in a rehab facility and it’s just living day to day, taking care of my son. … I graduated from school and always worked. Now I can go places and be normal and not have people following me.
Sekella, who shares Arabella’s daughter with her ex Matt McCann and daughter Althea with your husband Tim Petersalso always low profile – but still gives fans glimpses into life as a mother of two through social media.
In January 2022, the dancer – whose rocky coparenting relationship with McCann played in her episode. 16 and Pregnant and on TM3 – announced that her husband had officially adopted Arabella.
“It’s been a LONG process, but we can finally say Arabella as PETERS!! 🎉,” Sekella captioned a photo of her husband and eldest daughter smiling in court.
When it comes to DeJesus’ children – he shares his daughter Nova with his ex Dewi Austin and daughter Stella with ex Luis Hernandez – Fans have watched little girls grow from babies to sweet children amid coparenting drama with their parents. Although DeJesus and Austin’s relationship is sometimes turbulent, he has often stepped up to the plate to be a father figure to Stella and see the girls as a package deal.
McKee’s three children – she is the mother of Gannon and Broncs and daughter Jaxie with her ex-husband Josh McKee – has also overcome difficulties, including the loss of “Nanny”, Mackenzie’s mother, as well as her parents’ divorce. Mackenzie and her children live in Florida, where she constantly posts photos of herself enjoying the beach and smiling together.
