Teddy Mellencamp Opening up about his recent health update, the doctor announced he had found “three new spots.” Last year, the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum leads battle with stage 2 melanoma.
The star is an advocate for regular check-ups and listening to the doctor’s advice. He also urged fans to take care of their skin, protect it for the future.
In an Instagram post on January 19, Teddi gave an update on his health.
“I went in for my 4-6 week checkup and there were three new spots that the doctor felt needed to be biopsied,” the star wrote in the caption. “I get a lot of questions about white spots. I have both white and brown melanomas; that’s why I keep showing them to be checked for anything.
Teddi also shared that she “felt a lump” in her neck, and that her anxiety “changed”.
“I touched at least 303 times. However, on the day of the appointment, I thought there was nothing. Then the ultrasound came back irregularly,” continued Teddi. “
The 41-year-old said, “As a person in control, I deal with things that are out of my control. What I can control: keep on top of my appointments, check myself, and consult a doctor.
The star uploaded pictures of her back and neck as well as a video of herself in the hospital before the “needle biopsy”.
“I’m trying my best to stay positive and will fill you in when I get results. If this can save even one person from going through what I went through, it’s worth it,” Teddi wrote.
She ended her post with the hashtag, “#melanomaawareness.”
