Hearts defender Emma Brownlie was named SWPL player of the month for January.
The 29-year-old started in all three games last month as Hearts picked up four points including a goalless draw at home to champions Rangers.
Brownlie’s free-kick was the difference as the Jambos beat Aberdeen 1-0 at the Balmoral Stadium.
He has been a key part of Hearts’ success at the end of the season. They have conceded 18 goals in 18 games, compared to last season when they had 66 goals in 27 games.
Brownlie became the first Hearts player to win the SWPL monthly award since 2019.
Other nominees for January’s SWPL awards are Amy Gallacher (Celtic), Danni McGinley (Dundee United), and Hannah Stewart (Aberdeen).
McAvoy won the SWPL 2 award
Courtney McAvoy scored five goals in January
Boroughmuir forward Courtney McAvoy has been named SWPL 2 player of the month for January.
He scored five goals last month, including a hat-trick in a 3-2 win over Montrose.
Thistle picked up seven points from a possible 12, including victories over the current top two sides in Montrose and Gartcairn.
Other nominees for the SWPL award were Abby Robinson (Kilmarnock) and Morgan Steedman (St Johnstone).
