Sustainable Business Now: Learn to overcome the energy crisis



South African entrepreneurs must come up with innovative ways to overcome the country’s energy crisis, to do business as usual. Many are now sharing innovative ways to solve energy problems in their companies on a platform called Sustainable Business Now.

The site – an initiative of SAP, GlobeScan and Leaders on Purpose – presents case studies of how leaders and their companies are tackling sustainability challenges, as well as ideas for making organizations more sustainable. Case studies show replicable and scalable insights and best practices from leading companies around the world with the goal of helping others achieve sustainability as well.

Start your sustainability journey

Chris Coulter, CEO of GlobeScan, said: “We are excited about this timely resource that will help tens of thousands of companies embarking on their sustainability journey to learn from recognized leaders.

There are case studies on the site from the likes of Anglo American, Natura, Ørsted and Unilever.

Ida Krabek and Virginie Van de Cotte from Ørsted advise businesses on their way to net-zero carbon emissions. Unilever’s head of supply chain and business operations, Reginaldo Ecclissato, explains how the living wage creates business value.

There will also be people like Jon Samuel and Mzila Mthenjane discussing how Anglo American, Exxaro and partners are planning and adapting the Collaborative Regional Development and Impact Catalyst program.
