Polls in the week that resulted in Sunak becoming the CON leader

You might have to remind yourself how well the Tory party performed when Truss was prime minister. The Wikipedia chart above shows national polls for the last few weeks when there were more LAB leaders in their 30s than in their 20s.

Four months into Sunak’s leadership, we no longer see a gap in the 30s. For the most part, LAB leaders are now in their 20s with the odd poll taking place in their teens.

While the current poll position is not as bad as it was 4 months ago, it still indicates a very difficult challenge for the Conservatives.

I would suggest that if there is no bad experience in October 2022, Sunak’s position with the current number will raise questions about his position.
