Everything good? Summer House‘s Carl Radke revealed what really happened when Mya Allen sent a text about a meeting to smoke in February 2022 – and why it was “awkward” for him.
“I thought it was weird, of course. I mean, I didn’t respond,” Carl, 38, told Exclusive Us Weekly on January 8, from the unfair text exchange between him and Mya, 30, shown in the season 7 premiere. “I left in a separate car Family Feud with Andrea [Denver] and Alex [Wach] and I was driving back and I got a text and I was like, ‘This is a little weird.’ Like, he’s in the car with [my then-girlfriend] Lindsay [Hubbard] now.”
Season 7 of Summer Housewhich aired on Monday, February 13, began with great tension between Mya and Carl due to the accusations that she had sex with Lindsay, 36, in February 2022.

Shutterstock(3)According to Mya, she texted Carl at the time “smoking J” and when she told Lindsay about it, the founder of Hubb House PR attacked her. “He told me that I didn’t respect the relationship. He also accused me of wanting Carl in a romantic way,” Mya said on the show.
The Knead cookie founder briefly addressed the situation with Carl in Monday’s episode, and he explained that he wasn’t smoking weed at the time, which is why Lindsay came in hot to protect him. (Carl proposed to the public in August 2022 while filming season 7 of the reality show.)
Loverboy’s former VP of Sales told us there was a dynamic with Mya moving in the summer, but they began to mend fences.
“Listen, I got in touch with Mya last summer [in 2021]. We were, like, friends. We still do,” Carl recalled of their relationship’s pre-text drama. “But I mean, we’d text there, but we didn’t, like, hang out outside the house except with other people.”
He continued: “Lindsay obviously has the best interest in trying to communicate and I appreciate it. Mya was very supportive of us at the end of the summer … that really means a lot. And I think that brings us, you know, closer and we love her Mya. I thought it was just an awkward moment.”
Lindsay, for her part, is special to him us fans will see him and Mya squash beef this season.

During the season 7 premiere, viewers also learned that Lindsay started drinking again after her hangover from late 2021 and spring 2022 to support Carl’s sobriety journey.
“I mean, first and foremost, I just want to say like, it’s amazing to have a partner and a friend and a lover who’s so understanding and supportive and supportive,” Carl said. us from his reaction to his fiancée’s choice to drink on occasion. “It’s not easy being in a relationship with someone who has challenges, and sometimes I forget.”
The Pennsylvania native noted that it was “massive” for him that Lindsay took a “break” from drinking to make life easier. However, she insists that she has no problem with her alcoholic partner.
“I always want him to do what’s best for him and to be honest, whether he’s having a glass of wine with his aunt or having Loverboy with whoever, I fully support him,” Carl said. “I think it’s all about communication and understanding, you know, what’s right for each other and being a constant conversation.”
Lindsay echoed Carl’s sentiments, he said us“It’s a lot of, like, compromise and communication and just respecting the level of the drinking environment for me and, like, making sure he’s comfortable. … It’s one of those different lifestyles. It’s just a lot of compromise.”
