Carl Radke appeared on Friday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Livewhich is a celebration for Below Deck‘s Captain Lee Rosbachwhere Summer House cast members were updated on the upcoming wedding to Lindsay Hubbard.
Before the couple opens up about it Tom Sandoval‘s surprising deal with Rachel Lewis and Carl explained his close relationship with Lee, Carl confirmed that he and his fiance have secured the venue for the big day – and that they are considering having Lee play a role.
“I’m happy to report, Lindsay is somewhere, but we’re locked in with a place, it’s going to be Mexico and we’re still working out some logistics but we’re going to talk to Captain Lee. [about officiating]Carl announced on the March 27 episode of WWHL.
Later, the WWHL: After the ShowCarl and Lindsay, who were sitting in the audience together Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Claudia Jordanthe latest scandal for rock Vanderpump Rulesrelationship between Sandoval and Raquel, which took place behind Sandoval’s girlfriend (and Raquel’s close friend) for a month.
“We were with Tom and Ariana at the MTV Awards and in June, that’s when it happened [began]Carl said.
Then, after confirming that he recently spent time with Pump Rules‘ Katie Maloney to get “tea,” Lindsay said she saw a red flag between Sandoval and Raquel months ago.
“I texted her right before Halloween and I was like ‘Why is Tom dressing up Raquel for Halloween?’ It was almost weird.. I was like, ‘Why did he do that?'” she recalled. “I was actually on his podcast and I said it and he was like ‘I don’t know right.’ But now you start putting the pieces together, you’re like, this has been right in front of our eyes this whole time.
“[And] Raquel appeared on the last day of BravoCon [TomTom sweatshirt] that he gave you,” Lindsay added.
Back on the live broadcast, Carl opens up about the friendship he has forged with Lee.
“I mean, listen. We’re part of a unique family because we’ve lost people we love to addiction and we’ve had a really hard time, in general,” she began, referring to the loss of her brother and son Lee.
“Captain Lee approached me, which I couldn’t believe at that time. I have heard about what he has been through and yes, it is very difficult what we have experienced. But I think in the Bravo family, obviously everyone cares, but he especially to approach I’m in a very difficult time, I can’t believe it,” he said.
And while Lee has given Carl advice throughout their friendship over the years, Carl says his “best advice” is words of wisdom about “boundaries,” standards, and “being a man.”
“I’ve had a lot to do, you’ve seen it all on TV, but he’s inspired me to be a better person and a better human being,” Carl said. “I just like him as a guy.”
Also in WWHL: After the ShowCarl and Lindsay were asked if they were going on their honeymoon on a yacht.
“We just talked about it,” Carl said.
“Literally, I just told him. I’m like maybe we should go…but only if Captain Lee is our captain,” added Lindsay.
And, after considering the idea, Lee replied, “I’m in.”
