Students of St. Mary ‘Job Shadow’ at Absa Bank
The head office of Absa Bank on Accra’s main thoroughfare High Street was an interesting sight on International Women’s Day on March 8, 2023.
A group of students from St. Mary in Accra has attended a session with women leaders of the bank on how digital technology can propel academic and professional careers.
This is a special session organized by the Bank in association with school authorities, as part of activities to mark the International Women’s Day, which is under the theme, “DigitAll – Innovation and Technology for equality.” Excited students also had the opportunity to “job shadow” with the bank’s technology and Enablement team for nearly four hours. They are taken through business operations, decision making and how the technology team supports the overall function and efficiency of the bank.
