Two days after the incident, Barnes filed for a temporary civil restraining order against his ex Atlanta Falcons player, admitting Patterson was actually the aggressor in the situation, according to the outlet.
In court documents, Barnes claimed Patterson “chased me and aggressively confronted me.” In addition, she added Patterson yelled at her and threatened her, threatened to shoot her with a gun, and drove the people around her “crazy by saying my full name over and over.” He noted that eventually, the altercation turned physical:
“[Patterson Jr.] shoved me, and I was forced to push him out of me. I didn’t want the altercation to escalate physically, and out of frustration with her looking at me and the constant interruptions I spat in her direction in disgust.

She added that the 37-year-old was “jealous” of her relationship with Sims, with whom Patterson had three children after being married from 2010 to 2017.
