Can Sunak achieve better results quickly?
The last possible time for a general election is mid-January 2025, but some experts believe Sunak will wait that long. The current consensus is that they will wait until next year’s party conference and call an election in late October or early November.
The only thing the PM has is that this is a decision for him and his.
History shows that PMs often wait too long. There must be a reason why this should be delayed.
One suggestion that is being discussed more and more is that spring next year may be true. This is a big decision for any PM and clearly the opinion polls will have a huge impact.
Do we need some decent betting market where the options are a month between now and 2015 when the election can be held.
