In the middle of the report from The Real Housewives of New York City: The Legacy terminated due to salary demands; a new source revealed that the cast were not united when it came time to sign their respective contracts.
Rumblings of trouble began earlier this week after a report broke claiming that the cast, consisting of Dorinda Medley, Kelly Bensimon, Luann of Lessep, Sonja Morganand Jill Zarin, they weren’t happy with the “generous” salary offer and guaranteed number of episodes that Bravo brought to the table. Therefore, contract negotiations stopped with Bravo quickly “losing interest” in the series.
However, sources close to the cast and production say that Jill was the only one when he constantly pushed for more money which led to the downfall of the series.
“[Jill] pushing to do things for the big payday was the straw that broke the camel’s back,” a source close to Kelly told Page Six.
The source went on to confirm that Kelly and Dorinda will both sign the dotted line on their contracts and get production, while Sonja, in typical Sonja style, is not aware of the whole situation and is “ignoring it.”
Meanwhile, Luann was recently spotted at a cafe in New York City by a hawk-eyed fan and appeared to be reading a hard copy of the Page Six report on her death Inheritance.
The source said Luann was “chatting” on the phone and appeared to be “on edge,” constantly “going back and forth” as she read the story.
Of course Luann will be edgy because Bravo rescinded her contract offer earlier this week because the show was “falling apart.”
The cabaret performer has since confirmed that the show was allegedly canceled by telling people, “Right now, it’s nowhere,” he told the outlet,
Luann is hopeful that the show will be brought back in some form.
“I always say, ‘Don’t count the Countess,’ but in this case, ‘Don’t count the Housewives of New York City,'” she told the publication adding “[There’s] will always find a way to bring back the beloved OG and Housewives of New York City.”
However, insiders close to the production claim there are “no plans” to live the series now, though Andy Cohen‘s claims that show really, not dead.
The Bravo producer posted a tweet seemingly in response to the rumors going around Inheritance this week he just said, “Don’t believe everything you read. #RHONYLegacy”
Bravo has yet to issue an official statement regarding the status of the show.
