Tom Sandoval and Rachel Lewis bring a lot of drama to Vanderpump Rules reunion taping last week.
After announcing their relationship earlier this month, Sandoval and Raquel were forced to face-off with their castmates as “emotional” Sandoval discussed the beginning of their relationship, and several verbal jabs were thrown.
“Tensions are very high [that Andy Cohen] ultimately had to separate the two cast members before the fight could take place,” an insider revealed to E! News of the five-hour recording. “It’s like the full cast versus Tom and Raquel.”
Sandoval and Raquel “admit their relationship started as a hookup and not a direct relationship,” the source continued. “[Sandoval] very emotional and regretful.”
Meanwhile, despite showing emotions, Ariana “kept her cool”.
“She was crying but also ready to talk,” the insider said.
During the recording Pump Rules reunion, Raquel and Scheana Shay were forced to film separately due to a restraining order that Raquel filed against Scheana after she was allegedly assaulted by her co-star, which Scheana denied.
As for the future of Sandoval and Raquel’s romance, a second insider told E! News that the pair have yet to “put any label on their relationship”.
“They’re giving each other space to figure things out in their own lives right now before making any calls on where they stand,” an insider said with another source saying they “know the pain they’re causing” and “know. they need to focus on what led them to make that decision first and foremost.
Also up in the air that Sandoval and Raquel’s role Pump Rules season 11, which has not been renewed by Bravo.
Producers “will float different ideas moving forward,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “Maybe way after the storm, focus on it [Katie Maloney and Ariana’s sandwich shop] Something About Her, and going that route, doesn’t focus on this drama.
According to the insider, Raquel’s role is “up in the air” while Sandoval is a “question mark.”
“Ariana said that, unless absolutely necessary, she would not do a movie with Tom Sandoval. She expressed her feelings [at the reunion]and now it’s time to escape from Tom,” the source explained.
Producers also hope to show viewers how Tom Schwartz and Katie “managing after the divorce and figuring out how to keep certain people happy.”
Insider then said that the taping from Pump Rules The reunion felt “sad, but relieved.”
“Tom [Sandoval] there is combative, Raquel does not say much from the camera, and it is tiring,” they shared. However, “as stressful as it is, everyone is really supportive and caring and gets the nonsense, but with a high head. Sandoval ends up tired, the most unhappy. Raquel finds that Sandoval loves her more than Ariana.
