Chuba Akpom – MIDDLESBROUGH vs Blackpool – February 4th

Akpom and Riley McGree were in synchronized harmony, picking their way through the Blackpool defenders before McGree slipped in a cheeky disguised pass for Akpom to apply the finish.

Perry Ng – Birmingham City v CARDIFF CITY – February 14th

With his side six minutes away from a 13th match without a win in the Championship, Ng stepped up to strike a quick 20-yard free-kick into the top corner.

Ilias Chair – Middlesbrough vs QUEENS PARK RANGERS – February 18th

Combining vision, imagination and technical precision, Kursi spotted Boro’s keeper Zack Steffen still lining up the wall and impudently curled home from 40 yards, low and right into the corner.

Marcelino Nunez – NORWICH CITY vs Birmingham City – February 21

The hanging time of the looping defensive header allows Nunez to go to the ball, but it makes it even harder to time the volley, which attracts the perfect arc to the far corner.

Hector Kyprianou – Forest Green Rovers vs PETERBOROUGH UNITED – February 4th

It looked like Kyprianou took the ball to the corner flag to use the time until he cleverly wriggled free from two defenders, surged into the area and lifted the front shot up.

Nathan Broadhead – IPSWICH TOWN vs Sheffield Wednesday – February 11

It wasn’t just the accuracy of Broadhead’s 25-yard free kick that took your breath away as it flew into the top corner of the net on Wednesday, but the stunning timing of the strike.

Elliot Bonds – Cambridge United v CHELTENHAM TOWN – February 14th

Cambridge’s keeper Dimitar Mitov saw Bonds line up a 30-yard effort and thought he was covered, but the full-length flying leap still could not match the searing accuracy of Bonds’ shot.

Ben House – Forest Green Rovers vs LINCOLN CITY – February 25

The goal of geometric perfection. Five touches took the ball from Lincoln goalkeeper Carl Rushworth to Regan Poole off the touchline and then to House whose thumping volley flew.

Jack Powell – Stockport County vs CRAWLEY TOWN – February 14th

The trajectory of Powell’s unstoppable free kick was just outside the Stockport goal area as it left his right boot for a quarter of a second before curling back onto the post.

Jacob Wakeling – Salford City vs SWINDON TOWN – February 18th

Wakeling even had some of the Salford fans applauding his bravery and technique as he judged the flight of crosses behind him, spinning and curling the ball home with the outside of his boot.

Dan Kemp – AFC Wimbledon vs HARLEPOOL UNITED – February 18th

One of two stunning free kicks scored this month by Kemp. With the new side back, the on-loan midfielder’s effort traced a fine curling arc from 25 yards into the near top corner.

Andy Cook – Gillingham v BRADFORD CITY – 28 February

Solid League Two targets someone like Cook just isn’t supposed to be smart enough to whip the ball away from a defender on the touchline, deftly beat another and finally lift a shot into the far corner.
