Switch! Sister Wife star Janelle Brown I’m not sure about her future Kody Brown after the 2022 split.

“I didn’t wait for him. I’m sad that a part of our lives is gone,” said Janelle, 53, in part 3 of Wives: One by one special, which aired on Sunday, January 8. “I’m not heartbroken. It’s not as heartbreaking for me as it is for Christine [Brown].”

The Utah native, who married Kody, 53, in 1993, noted that the single couple “had a great run,” but things have changed. Janelle confirmed last month that she and the Wyoming native had been “separated for a few months.”

He explained in Sunday’s episode that when they hit it all at the end of 2022, the couple will have just “three months” to celebrate 30 years of marriage. The break in the romance, however, began earlier.

“He blew our last birthday. He just didn’t call me or anything,” Jaelle explained, stating that she and Kody “had a big fight before Christmas” in 2021 that spilled over into January 2022.

The founder of Strive With Janelle said it won’t be until March or April 2022 that they finally talk on the phone again. Duo estranged – that shows the child Logan28, Maddie27, Hunter25, Garrison24, Gabriel21, and In the savannah18 – has weathered many storms in the relationship over the years.

During the 17th season of the TLC series, fans watched as the problem became a tension between Kody and his two sons Gabriel and Garrison. The patriarch claimed that Janelle did not have his back when it came to the rules of COVID-19 and allowed the children to disrespect him.

The tension between the couple grew when Janelle revealed during the season finale, which aired in December, that her children will be in town for the holidays but she is not sure if she will see more of the family.

“He never joined me. I don’t blame him as far as fault. He never took my side,” Kody said while recounting the entire altercation on Sunday. “Why is this so complicated? [The boys] go out and find a home when he needs to move. Why can’t they go out and find a house so they can stay dating during COVID? I don’t know that.”

The 18-year-old’s father also said that all he wanted to do was “protect my family” so he ordered all his children and his wife in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. Kody is now married to his fourth wife Robyn Brown. He separated from his wife Christine, 50, in 2021 and his first wife Meri Brown confirmed last month that she and Kody had also split.

When the polygymist insists during Sister Wife specifically hoping to “find a happy and beautiful place with Janelle” and to “reconcile” with all the children, Janelle is not sure what she wants.

“Some of me thought, ‘Okay, my religion requires you to keep getting married.’ I believe very much in my faith,” the six-year-old mother admitted. “I’m very peaceful, I don’t know how to solve it. I know I like it. I don’t want him back. But my faith requires us to be married forever.

She explained that the door “needs” to be open to mending her relationship with Kody, but added, “I don’t want to see anyone walk through that door.”

The former real estate agent admits that at this time “it’s not” love that makes him question the decision to leave Kody, “it’s a duty. It’s a commitment.”

Janelle added that she was “so angry about what happened to the kids” and that she had “lost respect” for her estranged husband.

“I think that if he really watches over me and my children, he will find a way to make it work for the whole family instead of having rules and hanging out with his wife in a place that is respected and obeyed. ,” he concluded.

Kody, meanwhile, doubles down on his plans to try and repair his relationship with Janelle down the line. “I love him,” he said, noting that he “really” wanted to get it done.

The TLC personality, however, admitted that he “wouldn’t go to a place where I’m not respected,” despite wanting Janelle back.

“Love is not important to me, respect is important to me,” he added. “I’m going to fix it, yes. This is a new discussion. We are in a new place.”
