A few days ago, the ex introduced her new boyfriend to the world, declaring for the public record that she had moved on from her former spiritual partner Kody.
Meanwhile, Meri just posted and quickly deleted the following photo:
Along with this heartwarming picture, the Sister Wives star wrote a caption that opened with these words:
“Happy birthday to the beautiful human being here.
“And when I say beautiful, I mean inside and out. Of all the people in the world, she got me. We have the same background.
“We walk the same path, almost to the point of being creepy lol, but also, it’s just good to have someone who really understands. He has space when I need to process.
Meri did not name the woman, but summed up this week:
“She’s wise and giving. She knows more about me than anyone. She can laugh up a storm, and let me tell you, if you start…
“He’s got my back, I have him. He’s the one I’ll walk through fire for, and have literally walked through fire with.
“People like him are rare, and I’m always grateful to have him in my corner.”
Strong and powerful words, huh?
They may only be written about close friends.
But try telling that to social media users.
“I gave it a year before becoming a couple,” one person wrote in response to the glowing caption.
“I’m sure they’ll give us a soft launch here. It doesn’t take a microscope to read between the lines,” said another on Reddit.
Meri, of course, suffered through a one-sided and unhealthy relationship with Kody for many years.
The couple finally separated in January.
“After more than ten years of working on our relationship in a unique way, we have decided to permanently end our marital relationship,” they wrote in a joint statement at the time.
“During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect for each other and all family members,” the exes said.
“We are also committed to continuing to heal all relationships with families so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace, and love.”
In addition to this message, Meri told her fans not to trash Kody in any way.
“Today I regained my strength,” she said as she unconfirmed the divorce.
“There is much more to tell about this story, and I assure you, my truth will be told.
“But now, knowing that there’s peace in my heart, and that I don’t have any hatred towards Kody.
“I am not, and pray I shall not be, in a place where I am pleased to make, or to see you make such rude and disparaging remarks about him.”
