“After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have separated and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” Christine wrote via Instagram while referencing her decision to return to Utah as her family remained in Arizona. “We will continue to be strong in each other’s lives as we parent their beautiful children and support a wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we move through this phase in our family.”
When Christine decided to leave Cody, she chose to leave Arizona – where Kody, Gwendlyn and other family members still live – and move to Utah, taking Truely with her.
Ever since her parents separated, Gwendlyn has been outspoken about her support for her mother’s decision to leave her father. The reality star opened up about how she thinks her father has “changed” over the years in a vlog she posted on Friday, February 3.
“The reason I think they’re starting to change is because kids used to be young and easy to manipulate and I think it’s easier to talk to them. [back then]. We don’t have an opinion,” he said in the video. “Now, we’re adults and we have an opinion. We have grown-up thoughts and we have things we do as adults, and I think it’s easier to talk to [us] when we disagree.”
