Switch. Sister Wife star Christine Brown looking for romance more than a year after he separated from Kody Brown.
“I’m dating again!! holy. Hell. Awkward. Online dating is crazy!” at Cooking With Just Christine star, 50, wrote via Instagram on Friday, January 29. “Any advice for dating at 50?!”
She posted a caption alongside several photos of herself in an all-black outfit with a beautiful mountain background – the perfect profile picture for a dating app.
The comments are filled with words of wisdom. “Having a good sense of humor. And have a list of non-negotiables,” one person wrote. Another added, “Don’t get your hopes up. And like to learn by yourself.”
Christine’s search for a new partner began after she and Kody, 53, announced their separation in November 2021. The couple had been spiritually broken since 1994.
“After over 25 years together, Kody and I have separated and I have made the difficult decision to leave,” the Utah native wrote via Instagram at the time. “We will continue to be strong in each other’s lives as we parent their beautiful children and support a wonderful family. At this time, we ask for your grace and kindness as we move through this phase in our family.”
Kody and Christine have six children: Gwendlyn, 21, Aspyn, 27, Mykelti, 26, Paedon, 24, Ysabel, 19, and Truely, 12.
In the midst of their breakup, the patriarch claims that he wants his ex to find happiness. “One of the kids said to me, ‘Dad, mommy said you have a soulmate and she wants her,'” Kody said during part 3 of Wives: One by one specifically, referring to how Christine sees the relationship with Robyn Brown.
“I hope he finds his soulmate,” she added on the January 8 special episode of TLC.
Robyn, 43, who joined the family in 2010 and legally married Kody in 2014, is Kody’s ex-husband. In December, Janelle Brown confirmed that she and Kody have “separated for a few months” after nearly 30 years together. Meri Brownfor his part, revealed during part 1 of Wives: One by one that Kody made a “decision” that he would not remarry after 32 years.
On the Jan. 8 episode, Kody admitted that he was “on the verge of not even being polygamous” after his splits from Christine, Janelle and Meri. “I’m really looking back a lot,” he concluded. “Miss some of the past and regret a lot of it.”
