The long wait is over for the Shiba Inu community. The announcement for the public beta of Shibarium was made a few hours ago via the official Twitter account, which encourages the SHIB army to stay tuned to the official social media for more details.
The beta, which is open to everyone, is a major milestone for Shibarium, which has been expected to launch since the beginning of this year. The technology is a layer 2 solution that offers several benefits to the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including faster and cheaper transactions, better scalability and better security.
According to the announcement, the Shibarium document, which contains all the necessary details, is expected to be released in the coming days. Meanwhile, the exact date is not yet revealed However, so far only “this week” has been set as a date:

During the beta phase, users will be able to test new layer 2 technology features and report issues to the team. It should be noted that the beta version is only for testing and development purposes and users should not use it for commercial transactions.
The Shiba Inu Ecosystem Receives Significant Interest
The launch of Shibarium has generated a lot of interest in the past few weeks. On February 26, Shytoshi Kusama, chief developer of Shiba Inu, released a new website and intake form for Shibarium to allow interested parties to submit projects based on Shibarium.
Shortly after the intake form was released, Kusama noted that many projects contacted the SHIB team to express their interest in working with Shibarium. On Sunday, Kusama wrote:

One of the most influential members of the Shiba Inu community, LucieSHIB, reported more than 3,000 Shibarium intake forms have been submitted. Kusama insists that now there are so many projects that she has lost everything.
However, Kusama also issued a warning about fraud related to the launch of Shibarium. The main developer of Shiba Inu advises community members not to buy tokens or products offered during the beta stage of Shibarium development.
Kaal Dhayya, the developer of Shiba Inu, also explained that ShibaSwap will be the only officially recognized decentralized exchange in the Shibarium network. In this context, they are also wary of fraudsters claiming to be able to sell new Shiba Inu-based tokens.
