Shep Rose tells the story of a car accident in South Africa, which happened after he rented a car on the way to a party. At Southern charm star recently made headlines after a dramatic breakup with his girlfriend Taylor Ann Green.
In the final season of the Bravo show, Shep encouraged Taylor to quit her job so she could travel the world. But after a trip overseas, the couple broke up. The breakup is dealt with in a tense reunion episode, which reveals that Shep has met inappropriately with another woman.
On January 2, the star revealed that she “stupidly” rented a Jeep in Cape Town, South Africa, “expecting to drive to wine country” for the wedding.
“There’s a bit of trepidation about driving on the left in a busy city, though [I] I thought once we got to the highway everything would be fine,” Shep continued in the caption of his Instagram post.
He added, “2 blocks from the hotel in Cape Town there was a sidewalk that came out of nowhere and the left tire attacked aggressively. I knew right away.”
Shep also describes the “consequence,” where someone came to change the tire, “but forgot the jack.”
“Now just return the car for good and ubering out there,” he said. “You have to read the tea leaves and I think the world is telling you not to drive on the wrong side.”
He then joked that the accident will give his castmates Austen Kroll and Craig Conover “great fun and entertainment.”
“They think I’m the worst driver in the world,” he said. “For once, I might start taking his side.” Shep also included the hashtag, “disastour2023.”
He uploaded a picture of himself sitting on the side of the road and looking at the vehicle sadly. Despite the crash, the Charleston native appeared to be uninjured.
