Shannon Beador killed the idea that he was taking the diabetes drug Ozempic to lose weight.
After the The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member shared a video of herself on Instagram when she lifted her shirt to show off her taut stomach at the gym, she met an Instagram user who suspected she “must have” taken prescription drugs.
“Ozempic for sure,” the person wrote in the comments section of Shannon’s Feb. 15 post.
But Shannon insisted, “No…”
Shannon has taken to social media to show off her new weight after dedicating herself to getting healthy for the new year.
“Continue to focus on health for 2023 … Exercise every day, eat healthy, and take [Real for Real] Lemon-Aid every morning to keep me going,” she told her fans and followers in the caption.
As Real Housewives fans can understand, Shannon is not the only Bravolebrity who has been accused of using Ozempic for weight loss.
In the past few weeks, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards has faced allegations that they continue to show off their own weight loss on social media. And, in an interview with Extra last month, he said he “couldn’t stand it” when people accused him of using Ozempic.
“People who know me know that I wake up every day like 5:30, 6 a.m. at the latest,” he shared. “I’m in the gym for two hours. I really put a lot of effort into my diet and exercise and taking care of myself.
Shannon’s weight loss comes on the heels of her split John Jansen at the end of last year.
“We were in a good place. But seven days later, when the cameras went down, it was a very different story. He told me he was done with the relationship. And to hear what he said to me, it was devastating,” Shannon told PEOPLE in January , noting that he was “blindsided” by the breakup.
“I’ve never loved another person in my life,” he continued. “I hope this is the person I will be with for the rest of my life. I wanted to be able to get out. I have never loved anyone as much as I love John. But clearly, he did not feel the same way.
Just a week after the split was announced, John was spotted with another woman at The Quiet Woman, one of Shannon’s favorite restaurants, causing outrage. Judge Tamrawho protects John to go to the venue “on purpose” to upset the former.
Real Housewives of Orange County season 17 is expected to premiere sometime in the coming months.
