Shanghai Upgrade Hard Fork Is Now Slated For April, Says Ethereum Dev

Ethereum developers have also prepared another upgrade, the Shanghai hard fork, to improve the network. The developer has been for a few months and that’s it declare who are pushing the Shanghai upgrade for early April.

Several new upgrades and developments have been made in the crypto space, such as Solana’s plan to increase the network. Also, in 2022, Ethereum will move from the previous Proof-of-Work system to the current Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism.

Ethereum Developers Postpone Shanghai Upgrade

According to a tweet from Team Beiko (Ethereum core developers), the team has agreed to delay the upgrade to ensure the completeness of all the necessary preparations to avoid unforeseen problems.

The developers also announced that they will monitor network performance in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition.

Based on Beiko’s tweetThe anticipated date for the mainnet depends on the results of Goerli on March 14. According to people, if everything goes as planned and Goerli becomes successful, the team can fix the date for the mainnet at the next developer meeting scheduled for March 16.

The Ethereum community has been eagerly anticipating the Shanghai upgrade, and the delay may be unpleasant for some members. What to Expect After the Mainnet

EIP-4895 (Ethereum Improvement Proposal) will allow the withdrawal of ETH stake more than two years after the launch of the Beacon chain. It will also support the current Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism of Ethereum.
