Break up with Aaron Rodgers took quite a toll on it Shailene Woodley!
As you know, The Fault in Our Stars actress and Green Bay Packers quarterback called off the engagement last February after two years together. At the time, the source called it an “amicable split,” with Harun even thanking the actress Instagram in time. Now, almost a year later, the 31-year-old is filling in some blanks about how the breakup affected her, and where she is now.
In an interview Monday with PorterShailene admits how much of a struggle it was to film the drama series, Three Womenwhen working with separation:
“It was difficult to make the film because I was going through the darkest and most difficult time of my life; it was winter in New York, and my personal life was not good, so it felt like a big pain bubble for eight months.

However, while it is difficult to do, it also provides a necessary outlet:
“I’m very grateful that at least I can work and cry and process emotions through my character.”
The Fallout star then to reveal that while she is less present in social media today, her former relationship with the athlete did a lot to open her eyes to the influence she held through her online posts:
“Honestly, I never realized that millions of people around the world were watching this and paying attention. Then, I dated someone in America who was very famous. It was the first time I had a ‘famous’ quote-unquote relationship, and I watched [the] research, opinion, desire for people to know my life and life and our life – just feel the violation in the previous way, it’s fun.
He added:
I’m a very private person, and I find that whenever I post something, I immediately feel like I’m sharing too much of myself with people I shouldn’t trust.

Ugh, anxiety-induced feelings … But now, the Big Little Lies This actress is embracing her growth and letting go of the rest of her hold:
“I’ve always loved getting old, but it’s almost like I’m feeling exhale; I’ve waited too long to experience not thinking about what other people think about me and my life and the choices I make. I’m so excited to continue letting go of so many things that control me me in my twenties; to experience the joy of life in a way that, when you’re young, is harder to experience – because it’s controlled by the way you were raised rather than the identity you create as your own person.
