The police in the area have since recovered the body, David Atinga Aniyiri and kept it at the Hospital for post-mortem.
Before her death, the 34-year-old nurse was working at Kpasera CHPS Complex in Mpaha Health Zone.
Reports say that he had a misunderstanding with his girlfriend, who threatened to die, to jilt him because his family insisted that the deceased should convert to Islam before they would allow someone to marry him.
It is suspected that Atinga could not bear the threat of losing her lover because she refused to convert to his religion, so she decided to commit suicide.
According to 3news.com, some residents found his lifeless body hanging from a tree with a rope tied around his neck behind the Kpasera CHPS Complex.
They then informed the councilor in the area, Japo Mohammed, who then informed the police in Mpaha about the incident.
It is reported that the senior health officer in charge of the health facility and one other staff were not at their post when the incident occurred.
Atinga reportedly worked at the Mpaha Health Center before being transferred to the Kpasera CHPS Complex two years ago.
The incident made the community sad.
