Prostrate. Selena Gomez plan to temporarily stay away from social media after responding to rumors about the alleged feud with Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber (née Baldwin).
“I am very happy. I am blessed. I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world and I couldn’t be happier,” the “Wolves” singer, 30, said in TikTok Live video on February 23, adding that he likes himself and his body image. “I’m good. I love who I am, I don’t care. I’m grown, I don’t, I don’t care. I love anyone.
At Just Murder in the Building the star then hinted that her break was inspired by the recent kerfuffles involving the founder of Kylie Cosmetics, 25, and the supermodel, 26. “I will take the second from social media because this is a little stupid,” Gomez explained. “I’m 30, I’m too old for this. But I love you guys, and I’ll see you guys sooner rather than later. I just want to rest everything.”
The “Bad Liar” singer has been active on Instagram and TikTok for the past few weeks after a previous hiatus from social media. Earlier this month, the Texas native made headlines when he responded to a TikTok video with the theory that Bieber and Kendall Jenner has subtly mocked Gomez in a post last month. In the clip, the duo – together with Justine Skye – lip-synced to an audio trend that said, “And I’m not saying he deserves it, but I’m saying God’s timing is always right.”
The founder of Rhode Skin removed the TikTok in question, however Wizards of Waverly Place alum assured fans that he was not bothered by the clip. “I’m not letting these things get me down!” Gomez wrote in a comment on the video sharing app. “Be kind to each other! x.”

A few days later, the former Disney star jumped when another TikTok video accused Kylie and Bieber of protecting Gomez about her eyebrows. “Here we go. no shadow on selena and i didn’t see her eyebrow post! at The Kardashians star replied in the comments section of the post. “You made something out of nothing. It’s stupid.”
At Monte Carlo the actress chimed in saying she thought Kylie was right. “Agree @kyliejenner all unnecessary,” she wrote. “I’m a Kylie fan!”
Gomez’s TikTok activity also made headlines on Thursday when she defended herself Taylor Swift in the comment section of the resurfaced video where Bieber disguised the joke after the singer “All Too Well”, 33, mentioned.
“Sorry best friend and continue to be one of the best in the game,” wrote the founder of Rare Beauty.
At Spring Breakers The star has previously opened up about how Instagram and other social media apps have had a detrimental effect on her mental health. “At one point, Instagram was my world, and it was very dangerous,” Gomez said InStyle in January 2022. “In my early 20s, I felt like I wasn’t pretty enough. There were times in my life when I thought I needed makeup and didn’t want to be seen without it. The older I got, the more I developed and I realized that I had to control what I feel it.

At Sorority Rising The actress added that taking a “break” from the social media platform was the “best decision” she had ever made for her mental health. “I created a system that I still don’t have a password,” he explained. “And the hate and unnecessary comparisons disappear when I put the phone down. I’ll have moments when those weird feelings come back, but now I have a better relationship with myself.
