Sorry, trolls.
But you don’t want to bring Selena Gomez down.
The Only Murders in the Building actress sadly received body-shaming comments on social media after she walked the red carpet at the 2023 Golden Globes on Tuesday, January 10.
She then appeared on Love’s Instagram with her sister, Gracie Elliot Teefey, and revealed some of her recent weight gain.

“Now I’m a little bigger because I like it on vacation,” he said, as seen in a video he re-shared on TikTok, before asking his sister, “Yeah?”
Gracie only replied, “Yes,” after Selena started laughing.
As you can see above, Gomez made headlines at the event rocking a Valentino design featuring a velvet column dress with high sleeves and a puff with a long train.
We think she looks amazing in the ensemble.

To her ongoing credit, Gomez has long emphasized the importance of body positivity.
Last month, she responded candidly to criticism of her body that focused on her split last year from Justin Bieber.
In an Apple TV+ documentary released last year, the singer/actress delves into her history of mental health struggles.
We have always admired his honesty in this area.

In April 2022, Gomez opened up about being judged for her appearance.
“So I’m trying to stay skinny, but I went to Jack in the Box and got four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings and a spicy chicken sandwich,” she said on TikTok.
“But to be honest, I don’t care about my weight because people are whores: ‘You’re too small.’ ‘You’re so big.’ ‘That’s inappropriate.’ ‘Almost almost almost almost.’”
To his critics, he reiterated:
“Dog, I’m perfect just the way I am. Moral of the story? Bye.”

Yes, Selena.
You most certainly are.
Plus, the star has been candid about her relationship with social media over the years … even deleting the app from her phone in 2019 because negative comments made her “depressed.”
However, they started downloading the app again, as evidenced by their recent activity on Instagram and TikTok.
“Wait can you tell me I’m back on Instagram?” Gomez captioned the new post.
