Security guard threatens to sue Royal AM bosses after assault

The tense situation between the two sides led to a fight between the two camps at the Moses Mabhida Stadium VIP suite on February 25.

And now the security guard who was allegedly injured in a fight with Royal AM boss Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize and his son Andile Mpisane is considering legal options.

According to a report by They are the samesecurity officer Nkosinathi Mbanjwa was left with a swollen face after receiving several slaps from MaMkhize and her son.

“I was attacked for doing my job,” Mbanjwa said in the report.

“Andile and his mother kept asking me if I knew who he was and threatened to arrest me.

“They attacked me and people were afraid to intervene because MaMkhize was known by famous people,” added Mbanjwa, 41.

According to him, the Royal AM crew had been enraged when they found him fighting with the AmaZulu contingent.

The fight has been accredited to the duo sitting in a VIP suite which they were allegedly denied.

“I know about his quarrel with the AmaZulu boss, but I did not expect him to attack me.

“Especially when I asked for a good accreditation. There is no need for them to attack and insult me,” said the security guard about the ordeal at the hands of Royal AM bosses.

“The next day I opened an assault case. I’m still waiting for my case number, but I got a call from the investigator asking me some questions,” added Mbanjwa.

“I work hard for my family like they work hard for him.” Mbanjwa also said that he is now looking for legal avenues to get justice.
