Co-Runners of the Week Putra

Anass Essayi, South Carolina

Essati, ran the second fastest mile in college history at the David Hemery Valentine Invite. The Morocco native registered a time of 3:50.46, beating the previous school record by just under seven seconds. In addition to breaking her own program record, Essayi recorded the fastest mile in the NCAA this season at 1.44 seconds and the second fastest mile in the world this season.

Dylan Jacobs, Tennessee

Jacobs, ran the second-fastest 3k in collegiate history Saturday afternoon at the 115th Millrose Games in New York City, finishing with a time of 7:36.89 that was just 0.47 seconds shy of the all-time collegiate standard. Jacobs set a school record, SEC record and second all-time top 10 performance after running the No. 3 5k in collegiate history with a time of 13:11.01 at the Boston University Terrier Classic on Jan. 27.

Boys Co-Field Athlete Sunday

Ushan Perera, Texas A&M

Perera, cleared 7-4.5/2.25m to win the high jump competition at the Tiger Paw Invitational. Perera topped the national leader, Trey Allen of Louisville, in the jump-off. His clearance was the best in the SEC and his jump was the second highest in the NCAA this season. Perera equaled the Texas A&M school record set by Jimmy Howard in 1981.

Cameron Crump, Mississippi State

Crump, registered the first mark of 8.21m (26-11.25) in the long jump, which set a new school record and a facility record. His mark now ranks second nationally and first in the SEC after his performance at Clemson last weekend.

New people on Sunday

Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan, Ole Miss

Robinson-O’Hagan, breaking her own school record in the four different weight throws at the Music City Challenge, finished fourth in one of the best fields on the planet in a three-foot PR of 23.05m / 75-07.50. His mark ranks No. 3 in the NCAA, No. 2 in the SEC and No. 1 among all NCAA freshmen by more than three feet.

Women’s Co-Runners of the Week

Favor Ofili, LSU

Ofili, ran the second fastest 200m in collegiate history at the Tyson Invitational. His time of 22.36 is a meet record, facility record, African record, national lead and world lead. He also ran a personal best time of 7.15 in the 60m, which makes him the fifth fastest time in school history.

Michaela Rose, LSU

Rose, ran the third fastest 800m in collegiate history at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. He finished first in the race in a field of 248 runners with a time of 2:00.18, erasing the previous school record. Rose has run PRs in all four competitive meets this season.

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week

Lamar Distin, Texas A&M

Distin, who won the high jump competition at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational, cleared 6-5.5/1.97m to top the school record last week. His clearance is also a national leader, a Clemson Track & Field Complex facility record, a Jamaican record, the No. 3 mark in NCAA history and the No. 5 mark in the world this year.

Autumn Wilson, Georgia

Wilson, recorded a pair of 20th NCAA doubles last weekend at the Tiger Paw Invitational. He advanced to the 60m semifinals and ran the third fastest time in school history/third fastest national freshman to take seventh and qualify for the finals. Wilson returned in the 200m and his 23.08 shot for second in the school record book and made him the No. 2 freshman nationally in the event.
