MEN

CO-GOLFERS OF THE WEEK

Sam Bennett, Texas A&M

Bennett, earned a share of the medal of honor at the 46th annual John A. Burns Intercollegiate with a tournament tally of 18-under, 198. Entering the final round down five strokes, Bennett broke the A&M single-round record with an 11-under, 61. He topped two Aggie low round score and low round score vs. par by two strokes. He started the final round with birdies on 10 of the first 13 holes and birdied the 11th on the final hole to secure a tie on the leaderboard for the top spot. He led the field with 22 birdies for the tournament to help the Aggies to third place in the 21-team field.

Gordon Sargent, Vanderbilt

Sargent, fired three under-par rounds at the Watersound Invitational, including two back-to-back 66s. He finished five strokes short of the individual title and was the SEC’s top finisher at the tournament. Sargent’s final round was bogey-free and the sophomore recorded 14 birdies and an eagle during the event.

CO-FRESHMEN’S WEEK

Evan Woosley-Reed, Tennessee

Woosley-Reed, making just his second career appearance in the Vols’ lineup, tied for eighth during Tennessee’s first tournament of the spring at the Puerto Rico Classic. Woosley-Reed shot par or better in two of the three rounds, including a 6-under 66 in the third round that included five birdies and one eagle. In total, Woosley-Reed made 12 birdies during the tournament. Woosley-Reed’s performance at the Puerto Rico Classic came on the heels of a third-place finish competing as an individual at the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate earlier this month.

Nick Dunlap, Alabama

Dunlap, helping the 17th-ranked Crimson Tide to a fourth-place finish at the Watersound Invtiational Carded three consecutive sub-par rounds, including two rounds in the 60s, to produce a ninth-place finish in the event Dunlap completed the three-day, 54- tournament hole in 7-under par 209 (69-71-69) Finished second in the field in par 5 scoring (-8, 4.33) while earning his third top-10 result of the new season with a pair of 69s in the week, Dunlap continues to lead Alabama in rounds in the 60s with nine

WOMAN

CO-GOLFERS OF THE WEEK

Batu Latanna, LSU

Stone, won his first collegiate title on February 15 at Nexus Collegiate in the Bahamas with rounds of 72-68-70 for a 6-under par score of 210, the winner by five shots. Started the final round +2 after six holes but had four birdies in the final 12 holes to seal the win. LSU is back in action just five days later at the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Florida. Stone shot rounds of 72-71-68 for a three-round total of -5 211, moving up 20 points on the final day. Stone had five birdies on the final day. Helped Tigers to second place in the Bahamas and third team title of the season at Bulan Golf Invitational. Stone for 18 rounds this season averaged 70.94 with two top fives and 13-of-18 rounds of par or under.

Annabelle Fuller, Florida

Fuller, finished 4th at the Moon Golf Invitational. Taken 9-under with a score of 207. Did not post a round over par with a round of 66-68-72. Only had four bogeys in 54 holes.

FRESHMAN WEEK

Izzy Pellot, Mississippi State

Pellot, leading the Bulldogs in the first two rounds, stayed in the top five on the first day. After two rounds, Pellot is tied for fourth at 3-under. Now has recorded back-to-back top-10 finishes In helping lead the Bulldogs to the tournament crown In Las Vegas. Pellot finished ninth (2-under par) and now has five top-20 finishes in seven events played.
