And Sturgeon got the worst numbers
Scotland-only polls are quite rare and we have a new one from Ipsos. The ratings of the main leaders are shown in the graph above.
I really like the way that now pollsters work very hard to find different ways to present their findings and the one above is a case in point.
While 43% of the public have a favorable opinion of Nicola Sturgeon, the same proportion – 43% – have a negative opinion. This gives him a neutral ‘net’ favorite score which is down from the +8 positive net score recorded in October 2022. More findings
- 60% of Scots have an unfavorable opinion of Rishi Sunak, with only 18% favourable. His popularity among Scots is at the same level until August 2022, when he is up against Liz Truss for the leadership of the Conservative Party.
- Douglas Ross has a similar ‘net’ likeability rating – just 15% in line with the Scottish Conservative leader, with 56% disliking
- Opinions of Scottish Labor leader Anas Sarwar and British Labor leader Keir Starmer are more evenly split, with about a third favourable, a third unfavorable, and a third neither happy nor unhappy or unsure.
