Scheana Shay changed her tune about her new drama with Katie Maloney at Vanderpump Rules. The stars became enemies after Scheana interviewed her ex-wife Katie Tom Schwartz on the podcast and encouraged to date the castmate Rachel Lewis.
According to Scheana, Katie shared in a previous conversation that Tom must Raquel’s date. Because of this, Scheana encourages the potential of a romance, and is confused when Katie calls her a “troll”.
In her Scheanigans podcast, Scheana stated that “a small piece of [her] heart” broke for Katie when re-watching the latest episode because Katie was “going through divorce and heartbreak,” although she was “strong” and “happy” at home.
“I took that very literally from one conversation, and I will say that one of the regrets of this season, and I will apologize to him at the reunion next week,” said Scheana.
Scheana also reacted to a fan who asked why she couldn’t empathize with Katie since the divorce.
“There are two people going through a divorce here,” Scheana wrote on Instagram, shared by @cici.loves.you. “I think there’s just more to Schwartz [because] I felt I needed more support at that time.

In a separate comment, he said that “Katie’s name calling … brought me back to a place where she had haunted me over the years and I checked at the time.”
Scheana said that after the podcast interview, she sent Katie “a really long txt apologizing and explaining and she never responded.”
