Scheana Shayyour husband, Brock Daviestake a “step back” from filming Vanderpump Rules after a drama-filled ninth season.
After facing a backlash due to a domestic dispute and a child support battle with his ex, Brock, 31, is not “as involved” in season 10. And, before turning the tables on Katie Maloney36, and confirmed that he does not want to be Katie’s friend, Scheana, 37, explains his decision.
“It’s a lot,” Scheana told Life & Style on March 2.
While viewers will see less of Brock in season 10, Scheana hopes fans will see another side of her partner during the taped scenes.
“We have a baby, who’s a toddler now, and we try — like I love my mom, and she helps, and she’s amazing — but we try not to use her as much as possible,” Scheana explained. “So every time you see me out, Brock isn’t always there because he’s with the baby. Whenever he’s out, I’m not always there because I’m with the baby. There’s a lot of things you’ll see just me because he’s just at home being an amazing dad .
As Pump Rules fans have also seen, Scheana and Brock married during season 10 at a moment that will finally be broadcast on the show. However, when it comes to the dynamic between them, Scheana said not much has changed.
“We jumped into this relationship very quickly, you know, with the pandemic. We’re living together, we got pregnant within six months of dating [Scheana suffered a miscarriage in June 2020], so our relationship has progressed quickly, and getting married doesn’t change anything,” Scheana explained. “They are the perfect partner and person.”
Although Scheana loves being a mom, she doesn’t plan on expanding her family in the near future.
“I didn’t know if I was going to get pregnant with another child because it was so traumatic for me,” she said. “I don’t want to risk anything if I have her thinking. So, I think that fertilization of the eggs this year is the next step. But there are no plans for baby number 2.
In another interview, Scheana clapped back at Katie, who called her a “troll” on a recent episode of Pump Rules for “meddling” in her divorce from Tom Schwartz40.
“For him to call me a troll, I’m very angry because it’s projection at its finest,” Scheana told Us Weekly on March 1. “He actually sits in front and is a troll. Like, he went to Reddit, found information about us, take a picture and send it to someone, then comment on the post and actually troll. So, I’m like, ‘No, no, no. That’s one thing you’re not going to call me because that’s the truth of you.'”
Because Scheana encourages romance between Tom and Rachel Lewis28, Katie targeted her throughout season 10. However, according to Scheana, she only followed through with the idea because Katie had given her blessing – only later “[change] thoughts.”
“[She] like, ‘Oh, well, when I said that, I didn’t mean it’ and ‘Oh, I had 17 drinks. I didn’t mean it.’ I was like, ‘OK, but you told me,'” Scheana recalled, confirming she “completely backed off” after she realized Katie was no longer on board.
Going forward, Scheana admitted that she doesn’t see reconciliation between them.
“I’m at a point in my life where I don’t have the energy for it. We just don’t vibe. I can’t be the friend he expects me to be. I don’t want to be,” he explained.
“Honestly, as someone who was bullied a lot when I was young, I don’t think it’s with him or Stassi. [Schroeder] I never managed to get over it. I tried for years to stay friends, but like that, the initial bullying is still there,” added Scheana. “And whenever he has problems with other people James Kennedy for example, they expect blind loyalty, and they don’t want me to be friends with whom they have problems with. And I don’t play like that.
