At Chrisley knows best the family is still adjusting to a new way of life after the patriarch and matriarch, Todd and Julie Chrisleyreported to jail last week to begin serving a combined 19 years in prison after being found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud.
his daughter Savannah Chrisley they are having a hard time navigating their new reality without their parents by their side. She revealed on the latest episode of her podcast, Unlockthat he “lives to ruin”.
“Last week was very difficult for my family and everyone,” Savannah told listeners in the opening segment before the pre-recorded episode. “We had to say goodbye to my parents, for some time for the foreseeable future, and it was really hard. I haven’t recorded a podcast since then. Today’s podcast was recorded before my life was destroyed.
Savannah went on to say that she may appear to be “having fun” on the podcast, but that’s only because she hasn’t “faced the reality” of her family’s situation. However, he swears that in the next episode unlocked, he will give his followers a “very one-on-one podcast.”
“[I’ll be] giving me updates on where I’m at, where things are, how the kids are doing, Grandma, all of the above, and letting me know about my parents. Because you don’t have it yet,” he promised. “I’m really looking forward to giving you that update because I’ve seen God work in the craziest situations.”
Savannah’s stepbrother, Lindsay Chrisley, has been dealing with Todd and Julie who is imprisoned in his own. It was revealed that she and her favorite grandmother, “babysitter Faye” ChrisleyTodd recently visited Florida at the Federal Correctional Institute Pensacola where he is serving a 12-year sentence.
Lindsie opens up about her “little road trip” on her podcast, Southern tea.
“It wasn’t the best week for me. The emotions associated with all of that and my parents, and my brothers, and my grandparents [was a lot.]”
Lindsie also said people started questioning the motive behind her visit after she was spotted on the beach over the weekend.
“This past weekend there was a thread about people trying to find out what beach I was and why I was there,” she said. “If it’s my parents’ beach house, if it’s a new condo.”
Later, Lindsie said she was still “adjusting” to her family’s new normal, and though “the outcome wasn’t what she expected. [she] desired,” he found that he now had “a sense of peace and closure.”
But closure wasn’t on Todd and Julie’s radar. The pair have staunchly defended their innocence and vowed to appeal the wrongful verdict, with lawyers insisting the trial was “marred by serious and repeated errors” by the prosecution.
