Abraham Ancer’s unblemished 64 has him within two shots after three rounds of the PIF Saudi International
Abraham Ancer will lead by two in the final round of the PIF Saudi International Tour Asia with Cameron Young the closest challenger.
Ancer led Young by one after 36 holes, but extended that lead as he carded a flawless, six-under 64 to reach 17 under par.
Young made a five-under 65 with dropped shots on 13 and 15 around seven birdies while lifting the score to 14 under.
Matthew Wolff took the round of the day, seven-under 63, with the American 10 under for the event after eight birdies and a solitary bogey.
Wolff is joint third with Lucas Herbert – who finished third in last week’s Dubai Desert Classic, behind winner Rory McIlroy and runner-up Patrick Reed – as well as Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana, with Jason Kokrak further ahead in ninth. under.
The British trio of Paul Casey, Ian Poulter and Richard Bland in eight, seven and six respectively, with Poulter firing five in 65 without dropped shots.
The strong field also includes Reed at six under, plus Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, Louis Oosthuizen, Brooks Koepka and Joaquin Niemann, all at five under.
