The devil invests in music – Hammer explains musicians’ association with ‘drugs and alcohol’
According to music producer Da Hammer, the devil has a special interest in music which he believes translates to substance and alcohol abuse by members of the creative space.
The CEO of Last Two Records shared his sentiments with Showbiz 927 on 3FM. He pointed out the connection between Lucifer, also known as Satan, and music. He said that Lucifer’s interest in musicians was the same as before he was cast into hell.
Improving his argument, Da Hammer notes that the devil is the biggest fan of music because he was once the head of music in heaven.
“I have something to say. The devil in the past must have been the greatest musician in heaven. The devil is the leader of music in heaven. That tells me that the devil has a special place in his heart for musicians. He is attracted to musicians. So we can only understand, as musicians, we be careful.
Da Hammer adds that another side of the drug-alcohol association problem can also be linked to the search for inspiration.
“Many people mistake drugs or alcohol as a way to inspire. Art is about inspiration,” he continued. “Some people, they come. For others, they have to find it. So many countries try to find inspiration from different ways.
