A statement signed by the Director of Communications in the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin said that the Minister of Lands will replace Alan Kyerematen on Monday, January 16.
“The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has assigned the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor, MP, to take charge of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, effective Monday, January 16, 2023, pending the appointment of a substantive replacement for the outgoing Minister, Mr. Alan Kyerematen.
Alan Kyerematen resigned from the post last week to prepare himself for the New Patriotic Party flag race.
Some of the names who will be the NPP flag bearers when the term of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ends include Vice President Dr. Bawumia and Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen.
Others include the Minister of Agriculture Dr. Afriyie Akoto, former Energy Minister Boakye Kyerematen Agyarko, and former Railway Development Minister Joe Ghartey.
