The tech giant Samsung announced the Galaxy range, S23, S23 + and S23 Ultra with 200MP cameras.
Last year, the Galaxy S Series took a big leap – the S22 Ultra joined the Note series with a pro-class camera and the performance of the S Series.

The Galaxy device was launched on Wednesday in San Francisco, California, according to the theme ‘Wooo you’re coming’.
Samsung says the S23 goes further than the S22 with an unrivaled camera, ultimate gaming and improved speed.

Justin Hume, Samsung’s Vice President of Mobile said the Galaxy S23 Ultra is in a class of its own.
“The S23 Ultra is famous for its 200MP camera. This is double what was announced last year…This is a photographer’s delight.
“The new Galaxy S series offers the ultimate premium smartphone experience designed for today and beyond.”

Display
The Galaxy S23 Ultra features a 6.8-inch edge-to-edge display that reflects the legacy of the Galaxy Ultra series.
The device has a newly formed curve on the edge of the screen, which creates a flat surface area when compared to the S22 Ultra.
The contour-cut housing around the camera has been removed for a cleaner, sleeker look on all models.
The S23 Ultra is the first smartphone to incorporate Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which offers more durability for long-term use, and contains an average of 22% pre-consumer recycled materials.

Samsung says the S23’s Nightography capabilities are advanced to allow users to take photos even in low-light environments.
The S23 Ultra has a 200MP sensor to create bright and detailed images at night. It’s the company’s first 200MP sensor, an upgrade from the 108MP on the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
This means users will be able to print canvas size images.
Adaptive Pixel Sensor
Samsung’s new Adaptive Pixel Sensor in the S23 Ultra combines 16 pixels into one larger pixel to increase exposure.
Samsung said it has also improved image stabilization technology when Adaptive VDIS which analyzes and sub-divides movements and identifies lighting conditions to stabilize the video.

Another new feature is Astro Hyperlapse, allowing users to shoot clips by selecting the 300x setting in Hyperlapse mode, without the need for special equipment.
The S23 Ultra also has 8K video recording at 30FPS with a wider angle from 57 to 80 degrees and a larger pixel size.
The selfie camera for all three models now has a 12MP resolution; This is an upgrade from the S22 and S22 Plus’ 10MP.
The selfie camera also comes with Super HDR with 60FPS.
Performance and dough
The Galaxy S23 features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform for Galaxy.
In addition, the Ultra has a huge 5 000mAh battery capacity – perfect for hours and hours of long gaming sessions.
Software
The S23 ships with the new One UI 5.1 with Mode and Routine features.
Routines can trigger a sequence of actions on your device based on your activity and new Mode selection.
It allows you to create custom settings for different parts of your life, such as sleep, exercise, driving, work and rest.
Collaboration
Samsung says it has partnered with Google to enable Galaxy users to connect to people and products in both personal and professional settings.
During video calls, the S23 Ultra uses the power of Google Meet with Samsung Notes and the S-Pen to allow users to edit documents in Samsung Notes.
Privacy and Security
The S23 series is protected by Samsung Knox which provides end-to-end protection throughout the entire life cycle of the S23 series, from chips and software to applications.
Samsung promises to provide five years of security updates and four generations of One UI Android OS upgrades.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus and S23
Both Galaxy S23 Plus and S23 keep the display flat as 6.6 inches and 6.1 inches respectively
The Expert Raw app that Samsung introduced last year in the S22 series has also been updated in the S23, which allows users to shoot in 50MP mode compared to 12MP in the S22 series.
Expert Raw gives photographers access to uncompressed image data directly from the camera’s sensor.
Battery
Samsung has also increased the battery capacity of the S23 and S23 Plus by 200mAh.
The S23 has a 3 900mAh battery while the S23 Plus has a 4 700mAh battery.
Smooth
Samsung ensures the S23’s display is readable in a variety of ambient light conditions with its advanced Vision Booster feature.
The S23 series now automatically adjusts and improves color and contrast in three different ambient light conditions throughout the day.
Design and Color
Samsung says the new Galaxy S23 series has more recycled materials compared to the S22 Ultra, including recycled aluminum, glass and plastic sourced from discarded fishing nets, water barrels and PET bottles.
“We hope that the use of recycled fishing nets in the Galaxy S23 series will prevent more than 15 tons from entering the ocean by the end of 2023.”
The three models come in four colors: Phantom Black, Cream, Green and Lavender.
Price and availability
Starting February 24, 2023, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 will be available nationwide at network operators, online retailers and the Unlocked by Samsung version on Samsung.com.
