The more information we learn about what happened between Ryan Edwards and his wife last week, the more disturbing it seems.
First, as documented, the former Teen Mom star accused her husband of cheating.
Edwards trashed Mackenzie as a whore (pardon our language, that’s the only word Ryan used) and even released photos of her without her permission.
A day later? Edwards was arrested.
The former MTV personality was booked on charges of harassment as well as possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
From what police say, Mackenzie himself called the authorities on Edwards for violating the terms of the protection order – and now he knows why.
In an arrest affidavit obtained by The Sun, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office claimed Ryan threatened his wife on the phone before the arrest.
The outlet has even detailed the exact words Edwards said.
At some point last week, Mackenzie answered a call from Ryan and recorded the conversation, as she provided two videos to authorities.
“What’s going to happen to you is going to be bad,” Edwards said in the clip, according to the affidavit, adding:
“You know it’s not going to get married and your husband doesn’t respect you that way, but I said I’m going to laugh because I don’t want that to happen. [unintelligible] for you, and it’s not fair…
“If you don’t tell the truth now, God will regret it.”
The arresting officer said Mackenzie “considered this a legitimate threat to his life.”
Edwards was later arrested at his workplace … at which time drugs were also found.
“One baggie appeared to be very white, more consistent with cocaine, while the other appeared to be slightly darker, more consistent with heroin,” the arresting officer wrote in the report.
Edwards has been in and out of rehab several times and has spoken openly about his struggles with substance abuse.
Last Thursday, Ryan posted an X-rated photo of Mackenzie and called her “boneless” for allegedly cheating.
He then said:
“He takes your money and sleeps with whatever he sees. But he has to have a wife [sic]. Oh God, it’s a joke. It’s really sad.”
Mackenzie has removed “husband” from her bio and deleted several photos with Ryan, but she has not immediately commented publicly on the harassment, arrests or apparent threats from her estranged husband.
Edwards shares two children, Jagger, 4, and Stella, 3, with Mackenzie; along with son Bentley, 14, with ex-fiancée Maci Bookout.
“I’m not proud of being married to someone who goes out to bars and comes home with other men…” Edwards also wrote a few days ago.
