In this episode of Below Deck, Captain Sandy it keeps a big secret: Captain Lee it’s back! The interior is thin, and the exterior is tired Katie‘s bossiness, it’s clear that this crew could definitely use a pick-me-up, rather than another shake-up…
It was the second night of the charter and the wind was picking up. Captain Sandy was stressed because he was afraid of dragging the anchor. While these real fears are happening behind the scenes, the show must go on for the guests. Fraser was in a tizzy and he prayed for a quick boil change. He admitted that he had Under off the boat has definitely zapped negative energy, but sure can use another set of hands.
chef Rachel They are busy trying to keep diet restrictions and tell ME WHY he listens LaQuish and his request: 24 carat steak all around! Tyler talk about when he realized he was gay and Hayley revealed that he thought he was gay because of his obsession with Geri Halliwell (you better know her as Ginger Spice from the Spice Girls). LOL.
After chowing down, the guests (and crew) transitioned into 80 anensembles. When they all bounced in neon clothes and band sweat, they were very deliriously happy to notice the wind whipping like crazy, but Captain Sandy didn’t take any chances. He pulled an all-nighter to ensure the safety of everyone on board.
It was a long night and an early rise for the crew, but that didn’t stop them from wishing Hayley a happy birthday. Turns out the interior isn’t the only department with problems. Katie’s a bit bossy and Tony I’m dizzy. The problem is that the external head (Ross) is sleeping with Katie…soooo that makes things awkward.
But you know what’s not awkward now? Captain Sandy and Fraser’s relationship. Captain Sandy has seen a big change in Fraser since Alissa has left the boat and he is beyond proud of this attitude adjustment. It was interesting to watch these two exchange I love you after what happened in the past.
Captain Sandy was adamant about docking, as he only had a small window to enter the channel safely. There is a lot of pressure Ben throw that dock line and he can pull it. In Rachel’s words, “boom b*tches.”
The good news is that LaQuish, the guest from hell (his words not mine), is finally gone, “like a fart in the wind.” Before the guests left the boat, they crowned Captain Sandy and gave them a tip envelope. Then, it’s time to get down to business. The usual cleaning went down and Ben took this opportunity to talk to Ross about Katie’s behavior.
In the tip meeting, Fraser called this trip “harmony” and Captain Sandy went as far as hugging him for a turn-around. They prefer to be appreciated, even if the tip is less. It seems unfair, considering the crew is participating in the Olympics and Rachel has to dance around 135397 food restrictions + make a golden STEAK.
After the firing, Ross spoke to Katie about being “proactive and assertive.” He suggested Katie pull back a little and let her get defensive and snarky, cut Ross off. He tried to explain that he needed to listen, because he was “out of line”. And this is why you should not mix business and pleasure. Katie tells Ross she has “hard a*s skin” while Ross is worried about having upset her after this conversation.
Captain Sandy called for a selection sheet meeting and there seemed to be a similar groan among the group as they heard all the challenge requirements listed. It is especially stressful for Fraser, since the new charter takes tomorrow and they are still boiling down.
Although they have a new group of guests coming to the board tomorrow, the crew dress up and celebrate the birthday girl. I don’t know why he chose to stay on the boat (and make a mess just to clean it up in preparation for the guests the next morning) or what Captain Sandy was doing when he got “raged” and used his blow horn.
Later that evening, Katie pulls Ben aside to apologize for being the boss, which is huge… It’s not easy to be tense at work, or sleep with your boss, but I’m annoying…
In the morning, the boat was a disaster because of the party last night. Short hours to prepare the boat, but there is a silver lining: new 2n.d stew will be joining the crew for the charter…only this girl has major stew experience, which definitely makes Fraser a little nervous. He was afraid that he might try to wrest the position from under him, but he had a team backing him up.
When Leigh-Ann, the new stew arrives, it’s time for Ben to panic. He showed the deck crew that he had this girl’s mute on the phone, and he had the mute on the phone. WTF. (Camilla who???) It turns out that Ben met Leigh-Ann on Tinder about a year ago, but they never met in person. He had sexted but never “finished”. Leigh-Ann shared that her favorite part of yachting is “the boys” (JK??), but based on her history with Ben…
As Leigh-Ann makes herself comfortable on the ship, Captain Lee lets Captain Sandy know that he just landed. Man, this day is full of surprises! Captain Sandy finally lets the crew know that Captain Lee is back, and they get emotional sharing this news. “It’s like we were in the trenches together… I’ll miss” the crew!
There is a new sense of asking for a boat so that they all await the return of the king. Captain Lee explained, “I feel like I’m back where I belong.” Captain Lee returns and shows that not much will stop him from working this time. He will be filled in all insubordination and firings and do not question Captain Sandy’s choice. Captain Sandy headed off the boat and bid farewell to the crew. As he boarded, Captain Lee radioed to “open her a*ses.” Some things never change…
