Call a taxi! Ronnie Ortiz-Magro made his first appearance in Jersey Shore: Family vacation since leaving the series to take care of mental health – and give an update on life after the beach.
“I feel like I need a change of scenery and just a change in my life,” the reality star, 37, said during the Thursday, March 23, episode. “I have decided to move from Los Angeles to Miami and open a new business. This is a sneaker shop called SneakerClinic.
At Impact Wrestling alum added that she won’t be going solo, revealing that she recently won full custody of her 4-year-old daughter, Ariana, who she shares with her ex. Jane Harley.
“It was a lot of work, but he kept me balanced,” he said during his confession. “She calmed my world. I didn’t have a perfect situation with her mom, but she was perfect. She was so sweet, so polite. It was like, ‘Are you mine?’
Ronnie’s good news comes after he and Jen, 32 – who welcomed Ariana in April 2018 – called quits for good after allegations of physical abuse. In January 2019, the Airbnb Los Angeles incident between the duo left Celebrity Fear Factor alum was charged with seven misdemeanors including domestic violence, child endangerment, false imprisonment and resisting arrest. He pleaded not guilty but was ordered to stay at least 150 yards away from Harley and his daughter. The MTV star later accepted a plea deal in May 2020 and was ordered to serve 30 days of community service and pay $20,000 to a women’s shelter.
At Famous Singles star – who joined the OG Jersey Shore District series when it premiered in 2009, made the decision to withdraw from the spin-off after four seasons in May 2021 to work on mental health. He got out just a month after he was arrested again and released on $100,000 bail. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Us Weekly at the time the order collapsed in “intimate partner violence with injury with priors,” referring to the previous arrest.
“I almost lost my son,” Ronnie shared on Thursday’s episode. “I was in treatment for eight or nine months, but it helped me grow and made me a stronger person.”
Before the turbulent relationship with the real estate agent, which often played Family VacationRonnie often made headlines for romance with Jersey Shore District costar and ex-boyfriend Sammi “Honey” Giancola. Both dated on and off during the original show before it was discontinued in August 2014.
When Sammi chose not to return to Jersey Shore: Family vacation when it premiered four years later, us confirmed earlier this month that the model will appear in the MTV reboot Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Deena Nicole Cortese and Angelina Pivarnick.

The Sweetheart Coast boutique owner then posted a selfie from the set on Sunday, March 12. “Okay, I can finally say it… I’m backkk! ☺️,” Sammi captioned the photo. It’s unclear if Ronnie will appear again in the reality series or if he and Sammi will cross paths in the next episode.
