
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) was mocked on Twitter for a clip of a speech in which he used the word “wake up” seven times in 20 seconds.
DeSantis said in South Carolina on Wednesday that he is “fighting when he wakes up” in Florida.
Then, with a strange twist on Winston Churchill’s 1940 “We Shall Fight On The Beaches” speech, DeSantis listed all the places he would fight to “build up.”
“We fight woke in the school. We fight woke in the legislature. We fight woke in the company,” he said. “We are not going to give up on the woke crowd. Florida is where the woke are going to die.
