
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has not announced that he will run against Donald Trump for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, but he indicated Thursday that he will not be Trump’s running mate. (See the video below.)
Asked by Eric Bolling of Newsmax if he would consider joining the Trump ticket, DeSantis said:
“I think I’m more of an executive. I think you want to be able to do things. That’s part of the reason I asked for this job, because we have action. We can make things happen, and I think this is what suits me best.
DeSantis and Trump emerged as Republican favorites in the GOP race. The animosity between the two has been on the rise lately.
Meanwhile Trump, who has called the governor “Ron DeSanctimonious” and recently added “Ron DeSoros” to his nickname, responded with a picture spreading unfounded rumors that DeSantis was drinking with girls the age of a high school teacher.
