Ron DeSantis Admits He ‘Kind Of Likes’ Donald Trump’s Insulting Name For Him

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) claims to like one of Donald Trump’s insults about him.

Trump has reportedly tested several derogatory nicknames for his potential 2024 GOP rival. In a preview of his “Piers Morgan Uncensored” interview that will air on Fox Nation Thursday, British media personality Morgan asked DeSantis which he prefers.

“Is it ‘Ron DeSanctimonious’ or ‘Baso Ron?'” Morgan said.

“I don’t know how to spell ‘DeSanctimonious.’ I really don’t know what that means,” DeSantis replied. “But you know, I like it. It’s long. It has a lot of vocals. I mean, so, we’re going with that. It’s okay.”

“You know, you can call me whatever you want. I mean, as long as you know, also call me the winner, “he said. “Because we have been able to do in Florida, have put a lot of points on the board and really take the state to the next level.”

Trump endorsed DeSantis for governor in 2018, but the former president has grown increasingly hostile to the governor amid reported White House ambitions.
