During the commissioning of the project, yesterday, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PHED, Dr. Benson Uwheru, said the company likes customers in the area now like electricity.
Represented by the Regional Head, PHED Beta 2, Mr. Kenneth Idemudia, Uwheru appealed to the public to maintain the facility, pay their bills to enjoy uninterrupted supply.
He noted that the journey has not been easy but stated that the company is determined to achieve this feat.
“It’s really nice to have this community back on the network again because we know what our customers want in this community.
“That’s why PHED only decided to fund this project and ensure that the electricity supply is returned to Komkom.”
He called on the people to have electricity infrastructure in their areas and avoid sabotage, meter by-passing, vandalism, attacks, and other illegalities that contradict friendly conversation.
The Chairman of Oyigbo Council, Okechukwu Nworgu, commended PHED for restoring power in the area and urged them to ensure steady supply.
The representative of the community, Chief Precious Enworuka, said the community has shown good will to the company and deserves better electricity supply from PHED.
